Customer Reviews about Cypress Point Animal Hospital

  • I would suggest Dr. Pfister at Cypress Point Animal Clinic to everyone. They gave my 3.5 pound yorkie a year and half more to life after kidney failure by teaching me how to administer daily fluids. It also gave me more time to spoil and make him the happiest dog in his last years. I also sent my neighbor there with their wolf hound who had leg growth issues. Other doctors suggested surgery when all they needed to do is slow the growth with a change in food. I would not trust anyone else with my babies.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!! This is long but worth the read- I used to bring my dog here for grooming and sometimes boarding a couple times when our family went out of town. Every time I would pick my dog up he always seemed sick almost. And he was not playful, very down, didn’t want me to pick him up-very different from when I would drop my dog off. I didn’t think too much of it at the time. At one point my dog had gotten a little sicker than usual, nothing fatal, but we brought back him to Cypress to see what they could do. When they brought him out to us he was like a zombie. They assured us he was just tired and needed rest. When we brought him home he could barely move and could barely walk. He just sat up with a glazed look in his eyes, though they could barely open. We could tell something was wrong so we tried to pick him up to comfort him, but he would yell out when we tried to touch him, like it was painful for him. It wasn’t even a yell, but a mixture of crying and a loud moaning from the pain. We were trying to lightly pet him to comfort him, but we knew something was wrong so we immediately wrapped him up to bring him to the vet emergency care on Florida St. On the way there he started convulsing and it would happen every few minutes. When we arrived the staff immediately took him in, they were so great to us. They kept my family in a private waiting room. Eventually they came back and informed us that he had had so many seizures that at that point he was brain dead and there was nothing left to do but say our goodbyes. They brought him back wrapped in a blanket, still seizing as I picked him up crying to give him one last hug goodbye before they put him to sleep. It was a very traumatic experience for my entire family. It was not until about a year later when we decided we wanted another puppy to join our family. At the time, I never really thought it was Cypress Point’s fault for my dog’s death. My family kept saying they over medicated him, but I didn’t really believe it. so I brought our new puppy back to them. Whenever I dropped him off he never wanted to go in, he seemed scared. And one time when I came to pick him up, he had BLOOD coming from his anus! Under what situation would that EVER occur? I started to tell some friends and acquaintances and what I heard back was more horror stories of their own. People actually call this place CAMP AUSCHWITZ because of how horrible their pets have been treated. One lady even told me her dog contracted Hepatitis from Cypress Point. So that was the last straw. I started to take my dog to Northlake Veterinary Hospital on HWY 59 and they are absolutely AMAZING. My dog actually runs to the door with his tail wagging in excitement because the staff there are all super compassionate and very sweet towards the animals they care for. I have been so happy with them and so has my dog, who is completely healthy! Please please please don’t make the same mistake I did by bringing my pets to Cypress Point. If you truly care for your pets DO NOT BRING THEM HERE.
